Remote: DevOps Enablement Engineer (w/m/d)

Description

We are looking for a DevOps Enablement Engineer (f/m/d).

Workload: Full time if possible

Location: Remote

Tasks:

– Elaboration of architecture concepts according to cloud-native standards such as 12 Factor App. Especially regarding user authentication in combination of Service Mesh (Istio), oauth2-proxy and Open Policy Agent.

– Coordination of these concepts with product owners, enterprise achitecture, security and other stakeholders

– Implementation of sample applications for these concepts based on Spring Boot, Angular, Maven, Docker

– Implementation of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD based on Helm, Tekton, Kubernetes/Openshift, ArgoCD, Hashicorp Vault

– Release engineering, management, and lifecycle management of developed components

– Writing user documentation on the use and implementation of the concepts

– Supporting application teams in implementing the concepts based on the sample applications and developed library components

Additional activities:

– Supporting enablement and platform teams in analyzing and improving various aspects around Kubernetes/Openshift cluster, service mesh configuration, ingress/egress, DevOps transformation of applications monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana, log analysis with Elasticsearch/Opensearch and Fluentd.

– Overseeing a project with applications and customer platform in mind. Ensure that their target architecture remains compatible with the architecture concepts listed above.

– If required: evaluation of security aspects in the architecture concept for authentication. Evaluation of pentest findings (often uncovering false positives…) and general interception of knowledge gaps and misunderstandings around the Oauth2 and OpenID Connect protocol.
